Maryland's EmPOWER Program helps limited income households with energy efficiency upgrades at no charge.
These upgrades save energy, lower monthly power bills, and improve air quality and family health.
EmPOWER
Through EmPOWER Maryland and your local utility, any household can receive a subsidized energy audit and retrofit rebates.
Federal Tax Credits
Federal tax credits through the Home Performance Program are available until 12/31/25:
Air sealing, insulation, and energy audits are eligible for a tax credit up to $1,200.
A heat pump HVAC or water heater is eligible for tax credits up to $2,000.
