Program Eligibility Criteria
We appreciate your interest in making your home more energy efficient.
Our program helps households in Central and Southern Maryland save energy by switching from oil, propane, or natural gas heating to more efficient electric systems.
Eligible Maryland Households:
Eligible Counties
Homes in Baltimore City or Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Howard, Prince George’s, Montgomery, St. Mary’s or Charles County.
Oil, Propane, or Gas Heating
Homes currently using oil, propane, or natural gas heating systems are eligible. Homes using electric heating already do not qualify.
Household
Income
We will verify households' income are below 85% of median to meet requirements for this program’s use of state funds.
Landlords/Renters
In order for rental properties to qualify:
The renter must meet the household income criteria
The renter must benefit from the reduced energy bills
Both the renter and landlord must approve the work
